Zagreb Ladies played their first round of the Croatian Cup
ZAGREB – October 11, 2025 On Saturday, the first round of the Croatian Women’s Rugby 7s Cup took place at the Rudeš Rugby Centre, featuring a match between Rugby Club Nada and the home team, Women’s Rugby Club Zagreb. The experienced Nada side left nothing to chance, delivering a dominant performance that reaffirmed their quality.
Double dominance from the favorites
In the two matches played, Nada demonstrated why they are one of the tournament’s top contenders. They claimed a 59–0 victory in the first encounter, and followed it up with another commanding 58–0 win in the second. Experience and technical superiority proved too much for the young Zagreb side.
Zagreb is not giving up
Despite the defeats, the atmosphere in the Women’s Rugby Club Zagreb camp remains far from pessimistic. Representing Zagreb were Josipa Farac, Petra Kušen, Morena Ivček, Margaox Fabre, Lea Kolarić, Lara Vuk, Lana Emanović, and Teuta Stazić — all of whom displayed great determination and commitment on the field.
Coach Holjevac remains positive and focused on the team’s development
The girls fought hard and showed signs that they can grow into a solid and competitive team. The season has just begun, and they will continue training and building their teamwork.
