Report: Zagreb Blues – Šibenik 48:0
The Blues kicked off the season with a dominant win over visitors from Šibenik, confirming the expected strong performance from the young Lions. A muddy Sunday and heavy playing conditions affected both teams, but that didn’t stop the home side from asserting control in every aspect of the game.
Big thanks to the Šibenik players for their fair play and sportsmanship, and for providing an opportunity for our young, talented players to gain valuable experience against a 2nd Division team — an important step in preparing them for the senior squad and the challenges set by the coach.
Next Saturday, the Blues will travel to Maribor to continue their campaign in the Austrian Rugby Championship. We wish the boys the best of luck, as few injuries as possible, and continued success on the field.
