Final stage of the Croatian Championship for U18 and U14

The U18 team of Rugby Club Zagreb unfortunately failed to defend their Croatian Championship title. Based on their performance, it’s clear that the only reason we are not celebrating another title is the small number of players. Zagreb played with 11 against 15. Even so, they outplayed Mladost, as those 11 players showed above-average quality — but against Nada, it was simply impossible. Had there been at least 13 players, they might have pulled it off. After everything, we must ask ourselves — what are we doing to increase the number of players? What can we do to finally fix this long-standing issue of Rugby Club Zagreb? It’s time for everyone to look in the mirror, face the truth, make tough decisions, and roll up our sleeves. Congratulations to our players and coach for their effort and commitment, and to Nada for a well-deserved victory. Hopefully, next year we’ll be writing about player moves, tactics, and everything that makes rugby beautiful — rather than the lack of players.
